Okay. More art. YAY!

This is my most recent altered book entry... woo. hoo. I like it, but I think that I will edit it more later.

enough with the formalities people... this is NOT a formal speaking blog, so therefore i refuse to capitalize my letters any longer. i write how i talk. that's how i roll folks.

So how i will edit it? i don't know... i think i'm going to do some defining work, as my teacher suggested- it's a little TOO busy and that's kinda what i was going for, but it's good to be able to recognize and read things a little bit don't you think? what's the point of trying to convey a message if those you share it with don't understand it? anywhoodles...

i'm working on a bogus CD cover as an art project at the moment and i quite like where it's going.

it's very interesting... i've been using GIMP and it's been fun. it's not finished yet, so i'll post again when it is. the back is not fit to be posted yet... it's making me angry. i don't like the fonts for art usage that are installed as default in Ubuntu linux (they're very boring) so i have to use another comp to fix that... we'll see how that goes. well... more updates as events warrant. ttfn.

STEP ON IT. QUICK-LIKE.

Okay people... time for some updating.

I have been a lazy-butt artist lately, and to start things off, I apolgize for that.

So, to update all this stuff... I need to post some recent artwork. Anything that I've created at this point, but have not posted, I will post as soon as possible. LOL... I need some serious psych help, but we won't get into that... just kidding! :D

here we go...

This, and the next few images, are going to be altered book entries. This is an artistic view of what a car might look like in the year 2030. I drew inspiration for the actual auto design from actual concept cars that are being publicized today.

I'm not too happy with this entry because it's very sloppy in appearance and I generally don't like it. I seriously threw this together in like, an hour. That amount of time does NOT make good art people *frowns at self*... *sobs*.

NEXT IMAGE PLEASE.

Okay... this is one of my absolute favorite altered book entries.

In my world religions class, I have some groupies that are creatively artistic, so we have a book that we cut magazine pictures out and paste them in. My friend gave me the idea of altering an actual image, so I cut out the image you see on the left and altered the colors using Staedtler brand colored liners. I added the orange, red, and black to the lips and eye lid, the red heart, and I added blue to the originally green eye. The image on the right of M.I.A is an image transfer. I thought that it exeplified expressing yourself, so I thought it was appropriate for this entry. The overall purpose of the entry was to express how different people express themselves differently, and that anything from any given person can be beautiful.

NEXT.

This is an altered book entry entitled Etude. I drew the inspiration from the life of Amadeus Mozart and the movie Amadeus!. The idea was to portray that you can do all these things that are great, like Mozart in writing his music- even create beautiful things, but still be a person who may not be very dignified or respectable. The illegible words in the background say "Amadeus wasn't so innocent". History remembers him as one of the great masters of music, but he wasn't as innocent as most people remeber him. Being a musician myself, I think it's interesting that he wrote so much beautiful music, but he had another life that contrasted the beauty of his music. I just thought the idea was intreaguing. I'm rambling now so let's move on. *goes crosseyed*

I'm just going to be forward with this. I HATE this entry. The left side isn't that bad, but the general design of the dress on the right bothers me. It just does. It's annoying.

This ties in with the previous entry about the car that is possible in 2030. This is entitled tha threadz to match.

I don't like it, so I don't really have much else to say about it. Arg.

So yeah. That's pretty much it for the moment. Hang in there- I know you're just dying to see more. HA! Just kidding.

More updates as soon as possible.

"The great alex has spoken!" LOL.

PS- excuse the images... the resizing has decided to murder them and eat them for lunch. GRAWRAPABLAR. *munch, munch, munch*

al-iskandareyya

This is Alexandria. We were assigned to do a piece based on the Fibonacci Spiral, and this is what I was able to come up with. It uses charcoal, which is a medium that I'm not completely familiar with, but I really enjoyed using. I like the realistic aspect of the piece, because most of what I draw is semi-realistic, and so it's something different for me. I don't really like some aspects of the drawing- like her hair. It's kinda bothering me, but I like the piece as a whole. I love to draw people so this was really fun.
Sorry to ramble! Hope you like it- leave comments as you see fit! :D
I hope to post some other things, but I have yet to get pictures of them, so I will let you know... I might post on my other blog as well, so check it out!
enjoy! :D

Bonjour!

Comment allez-vous, mes amis?

Anyways, to ART...

I currently have absolutely no pictures of my artwork at the moment. I'll get on that.

So make beautiful art people. I'll try to as well.

Magical noodles are delicious.
